Telepsychiatry Service

Telepsychiatry Service

Since the COVID-19 epidemic, Dr. Choy has been exclusively offering telepsychiatry appointments within the state of California.  The standard of care for telepsychiatry visits is the same as that of in-person visits.

Tips on Video Conference Sessions

Be sure you have the necessary computer, equipment and internet access for the video conference session. This includes a webcam on your computer or phone. You may also need a speaker or a headphone for audio. You need to arrange for a location with sufficient lighting and privacy and be free from distractions and intrusions during the session.  Please do not engage in any other tasks (i.e. working on the computer, eating, driving) during the session. Please dress appropriately as you would during a regular doctor's visit. Ten minutes prior to your scheduled appointment, log on to the secure video conference platform to ensure you are able to access the link without any problems: https://doxy.me/drchoy.  This link will take you to Dr. Choy's virtual waiting room. If you run into issues connecting, restart your computer or get help at: http://help.doxy.me.
